Please see the updated Legionella leaflet for care premises, please ensure your handy persons and those responsible for the monitoring of legionella / water hygiene, have these processes in place. All care premisesshould have an up to date Water Hygiene Risk Assessment and plan in place for your premiseswhich should be reviewed every 2 years. You need to monitor water temperatures hot and cold in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice (L8) and linked in the legionella leaflet, in addition to this you should also have your controlled hot water temperatures recorded, and the Suffolk County Council ACS Procedures are linked for your information: safe bathing and hot surface temperature procedures.
